An exclusive screening of the documentary, The Empathizer, featuring second-generation Vietnamese Americans traveling back to Vietnam, is presented by The Foundation for Asian American Media and HAIBAYÔ. Following the screening, guests will enjoy a live comedy show starring the comedians from the film.

Learn about the traditional Japanese art of Gyotaku (魚拓 — fish printing) in this beginner art class hosted by the Heritage Museum of Asian Art. Participants will learn about the history and creation process of Gyotaku and complete beautiful fish prints to take home! To celebrate the beloved cultural holiday, the Mid-Autumn Festival, the China Institute is hosting an festive, family-friendly event with a variety of creative workshops and interactive stations, such as mooncake making, lacquer fan painting, and Chinese dance. Kicking off with a Uyghur dance performance, the event will also feature a shadow puppet show and tour of the new exhibition, Metamorphosis: Chinese Imagination and Transformation.
