Join the Seattle Art Museum at the Olympic Sculpture Park for a festive opening celebration of Ai Weiwei's Circle of Animals / Zodiac Heads (Bronze). Guests will have the chance to explore Ai's zodiac sculptures and enjoy a programming lineup of live music, art workshops, and educational lectures. Tour two other Ai Weiwei exhibits in Seattle this fall, with Ai, Rebel, at the Seattle Art Museum through September 7, 2025 and Water Lilies at the Seattle Asian Art Museum through March 15, 2026.

The Museum of Chinese in America (MOCA) cordially invites you to a special conversation with Edward Wong, diplomatic correspondent for The New York Times and author of At the Edge of Empire: A Family’s Reckoning with China. The son of Chinese immigrants in Washington, D.C., Wong grew up among family secrets, especially those surrounding his father Yook Kearn Wong, who served in Mao’s People’s Liberation Army before making a perilous escape to Hong Kong in 1962.

Come to witness the intimate art of dumpling-making transformed into a mesmerizing sensory performance. Through a sequence of collective cooking activities, amplified by ASMR, this experimental theater production illuminates the complex dynamics of food production and fosters a deep empathy for the often-unseen labor of immigrants. Supported by the University of Washington, Tacoma campus, the Asia Pacific Cultural Center, Tacoma Creates, and Tacoma Arts Live. A project by Yixuan Pan.
